Tiffany Lathe
Lead Counsel / Managing Director
Tiffany is a tech lawyer with over fifteen years’ experience in guiding public and private companies on all aspects of business both domestically in the UK as well as internationally.
Tiffany trained and specialised as a solicitor in Intellectual Property & IT, prior to undertaking more general commercial & corporate work for her clients. She did a ten year stint as the first in-house counsel for Rackspace, a cloud computing company which grew to $2B in revenues & 6000 employees globally. Tiffany was the first woman on their global senior leadership team, representing their international business, with her last executive position as Senior Vice President & General Counsel.
Tiffany played a significant role in both Rackspace’s IPO in 2008 and its eventual sale to private equity in 2016 for $4.3B. Whilst working for Rackspace, Tiffany led both the global legal function as well as the international HR, Security & Compliance departments. She was also executive sponsor for their Hong Kong operations. Over the years, Tiffany helped set up all of Rackspace’s international entities, offices and data centres as well as their international tax structure via Switzerland & the Netherlands. Tiffany was also instrumental in designing Rackspace’s managed security offering. More recently, Tiffany has been helping various start & scale-ups from initial set-up & funding work through to mentoring their directors.
For three years running, Tiffany was awarded as one of the 50 most powerful women in technology in the US by the National Diversity Council, alongside Sheryl Sandberg, Virginia Rometty & Marissa Mayer. Criteria for the award centred around Tiffany being a ‘top leader’ in her organisation, ‘directly contributing to business growth or strategic direction…and operating with the highest integrity and ethical behavior’ as well as being ‘an effective role model who inspires other women…active in mentoring the next generation of female professionals in the industry’. Tiffany is passionate about creating a values based culture and world class working environment in which every employee feels valued and inspired to greatness. During her tenure as Rackspace’s International HR leader, she also helped the business achieve significant success in the Sunday Times Best Companies & Great Places to Work awards.
Away from work, Tiffany is an avid reader and is attempting to write her own novel. She also enjoys hiking, gym and cooking keto for her friends and family.
